For the Law Career Development Office, I think is great for all students, whether you are a current student or an alumni, just because of the wealth of knowledge that they do have and the skill sets that they can help you with. It's okay if you come to law school not knowing what you want to do. One of the programs that we offer to our 1Ls that is pretty unique to the University of Baltimore, is the Explorer Program. And that program is really designed to help students kind of figure out what they are or maybe aren't interested in. The process for that is super simple. Basically, all you have to send is your resume and maybe a couple of other pieces. And they will match you either with an attorney or a judge, depending on what your preference is. So I had a judicial internship as a 1L. I went into my 2L year and in the fall, I got a federal government externship. The process for that was also because of the LCDO, so they send out job listings every single week that was on there, and I applied and almost immediately got a callback for an interview. And that's how I landed it. One thing that we hear a lot from alumni is that, you know, our office is really uniquely supportive of students. You know, we don't just focus on those students who are in the top 10% of the class. And, you know, they feel like they are they're really well prepared to enter the their field of practice, because we've worked with them to make sure that they've had the opportunities that they need. I had the opportunity to do a mock interview in preparation for my interview with Whiteford Taylor Preston, and she broke down exactly what they were looking for, things to look out for, and really helped me hone my answers and what some of those interview questions might be. And I mean, I went into the interview just so prepared and they were so excited with the answers I gave and the questions that I asked and I don't think I would have been able to do that without the Law Career Development Office.
