We have a number of different ways that you can specialize in your studies here. So we have concentrations in Real Estate. We have concentrations in Criminal Law. We have about eight or nine different concentrations right now, where you can really dive deep into a particular area of law. When students take an interest in something, they can pursue a core of courses that help them learn and to be prepared if their career leads in that way. And the professors are very supportive to have students pursue the areas of the law that they've spent years practicing and preparing where they have contacts, and where they know that there are people who they can connect the students with in the legal community so that, ultimately, they can be successful in whatever career path they choose. And we have various different ways that you can explore different career paths, both through courses you take, but also things like externships or clinical work, student groups, other ways of increasing your actual networks of people that have jobs working with our Law Career Development Office and so on. The most exciting part about my externship was, I had the opportunity to work in Washington DC, with the DC government in their Office of Tax and Revenue. And I think being in Baltimore, I was hesitant to pursue something in Washington, DC, but the program really coordinated well with my professor and my classes and it was just a great opportunity to kind of get out of Baltimore and work in the DC government. One great opportunity that I have had at University of Baltimore has been working on the Honor Board with my fellow peers. The Honor Board deals with plagiarism and cheating and fractions, but really, we're here to ultimately uphold the integrity and professionalism of the University of Baltimore community.
