I have lived here my whole life and I decided to go to school here because I wanted to give back to my community. UBalt really has the resources to help me do that. As an urban campus, really the city is at your feet. So when I go to my externship placement, I take the free circulator bus. It's right next to Penn Station as well. So some of my colleagues that were doing judicial externships in DC, they would just hop on the train and be there in an hour. So a part of the clinics here at the University of Baltimore, we have the Community Development Clinic. And there we're literally doing business law for community members who have businesses or want to establish a business. We're working on complex real legal issues that affect them every single day. These businesses are unique, because not only are they based in Baltimore, but the majority of them have a cause that wants to push forward the city of Baltimore into a new area. As I was considering, you know, for years pursuing a legal education, the thing that sort of rang true throughout all of that thought was really making a difference. And I kept coming back to UB Law specifically, because I knew what the education that the school provided. They really have an ability to in a very broad sense, positively impact the lives of much more people than I would in other opportunities that I considered
