Under our co-curricular umbrella, we have Law Review, Law Forum, the Moot Court as well as the Mock Trial. And our student organizations are really centered around building community. So we do have student organizations like LASO, which is the Latin American Student Organization. And we have GMLA, which is the Government and Military Law Association. The advice that I got from almost every single alumni who I spoke with was, "f you can try to join a law journall." My goal when I got here was if I'm going to do an extracurricular, that's the one that stood out to me the most. And I was fortunate enough to be able to do that and join Law Review. And that has been just fantastic since. You are able to work with your peers, that you will be working with down the line in the legal community. And you really want the opportunity to see how you can problem solve with different people, communicate, learn different styles, consider different perspectives. And you're able to do that in all of these different organizations. It's been great to be a member of the Black Law Student Association, as well as joining Honor Board. I'm now the chair of honor board in my 3L year. I pursued Law Review to write onto a journal and I became an executive board member as a Production Editor. I got to participate in the Constance Baker Motley Mock Trial Competition, which is underneath the Black Student Law Association, also known as BSLA. And then, when it's time for the competition, you guys are literally raising motions, you are asking the judge to, you know, admit evidence and all of these different parts of the trial from opening statements to closing statements, you've drafted it, you worked on it. And then you also have to be prepared for cross-examination of a witness which is really really fun in person.
