I discovered just how pervasive and integrated the alumni network is throughout Maryland. I had an internship at a public defender's office and my supervisor. And now my mentor and one of my best friends is actually an alum from the University of Baltimore. And I came here and I started talking to more and more attorneys. And I realized that you couldn't throw a stick in the city of Baltimore and not hit somebody who attended the University of Baltimore School of Law. In your first year, at the end of your first-year finals, you will take a diagnostic exam, which will measure your knowledge of the law and your proficiency in analytical skills, how you think like a lawyer. You'll be able to take advantage of the Office of Academic Success, along with the Office of Bar Success. We will provide all kinds of services to help prepare you for first-time success on the bar exam. Everyone knows everyone. And so it's really important that you take the time to take advantage of all of the opportunities that Baltimore law offers for networking whether it's the Judicial Reception, Firm Night, or the opportunity to interview with top firms in the Baltimore area. I was afforded the opportunity to join Baltimore Law's Law Review. I also participated in Honor Board. I was Constance Baker Mock Trial Team. And it was just a phenomenal experience. And I believe that it was because of the ties that I created at Baltimore Law that I was again, afforded the opportunity to clerk at the Court of Special aAppeals, and then also be extended an offer it why for WhitefordTaylor Preston.
