    Law Center

Our beautiful, light-filled law building offers six floors of library, open outdoor terraces, and private and group study rooms.

It's an open and welcoming environment for learning and collaboration.

The design principle was that at any point, you're standing in the building, you can see the City of Baltimore. And to me that says everything you need to know about who we are as a law school. We are in the city. We are of the city. And our work reflects what the city needs. Our building sustainability is very important to me as someone who's concerned about the environment and is going into the legal field to protect it. So I'm very proud to be part of a legal community that's working to eliminate our carbon footprint. When you first walk up to the University of Baltimore Law School Building, it is this giant glass building. And you walk in and you take these gorgeous glass elevators up to whatever floor and you're able to see different students and classes studying and different study rooms. And it really does remind you of the community that University of Baltimore is able to facilitate and cultivate at law school. So I work in the Law Library as a Circulation Assistant. And it's really cool also to kind of watch students congregate in study rooms and in the lounge area on the ninth floor. Especially during exams time, it's like we're all kind of sticking together. There's so much energy in this building. It really creates energy when you ride the glass elevators from the first floor to the 12th floor, you just see it all you see Moot Court Teams practicing, you see classes underway, you see Journal Editors working on their product, and students just gathering. So it's a place that really creates energy and excitement and enthusiasm for the mission here which is educating the next generation of successful lawyers.
